home security system cameras

SCAM!A Silverline salesperson came to my door to inform me that my previous security company Pinnacle has sold my contract to them and that they were going to upgrade my system free of charge and sign an agreement with them and pay the remainder of the Pinnacle contract off. Sounded great because Pinnacle wasn't living up to there contract. I cancelled with Pinnacle and received a final bill and faxed it to Silverline. I get a phone call later that week from Silverline asking me if I kept the old equipment, because they were not going to pay Pinnacle off and I needed to go back with them. What are you serious? They charged me two months of service and Pinnacle wants me to pay them two months of service to get reinstated. What a mess!So after a couple calls I managed to get my money back from Silverline!Beware of these tactics, make sure you call you're existing security provider first before making any changes!Yes, I agree it is a SCAM. They targeted my elderly mother, who had ADT signs in her yard AND a no solicitations sign on BOTH of her front doors. And what kind of a reputable company offers a THREE day trial on a three year contract? My mother contacted her sales rep RYAN LYMAN as in LIE MAN, should have been a hint!within her three days. He told her she had to put it in writing and mail it to the company in Utah. There went the three days!I found out about this and tried to call Mr. Ryan Lyman, and no answer, wasn't even able to leave a message.

security systems for renters

Let me first say I have had my fair share of frustrations and setups with DIY projects all over my house INCLUDING past SkyBell and Ring doorbells. FINALLY, this install was straightforward and fast!If you have a mechanical doorbell like me you should have just two wires going to your doorbell. The instructions are straightforward from SkyBell, however in short you just kill the breaker, hook the two wires to the base plate genius improvement as previously you had to wire to the device and then mount it to the mount and it was a pain, now the device isn’t involved until the very end at all and then mount your mount to the wall. I have used a combination of screws and glue for these installs. SkyBell provides a nice drill bit in the box if you would like to drill two holes into the house. For my stucco installation I did use two holes, however I chose to use my own masonry bit on my stucco just to be safe. The install was straightforward and completed in under 5 minutes. For the 2nd installation I did I was on some decorative uneven stone and this was quite the challenge as it would be for any doorbell installation. I went down and got some quickrete patching material from Home Depot and filled in the grout and made a nice circle the size and shape of the SkyBell provided base. I was able to get one screw hole drilled using the SkyBell provided drill bit worked fine, however I had to use glue for the other side. I recommend Loctite Outdoor Adhesive, it dry’s fast and clear and worked PERFECT.
